Workshop "Vocalidades Trans-sintéticas" by Carincur

Based on a post-human vision of the vocal tract as a synthesis apparatus, the workshop “vocalidades trans-sintéticas” seeks to produce new voices, bodies, techniques, and politics. Through practices and processes that explore the voice as a phenomenon that transcends its traditional forms of production and perception, we will let go of false dichotomies such as “inside/outside,” “self/other,” “electronic/organic,” and abandon any fixed expectations of what our voice should be.

This is an experimental and hybrid approach that combines human vocal elements with technologies, electronic and digital processes that challenge the boundaries of what we understand as “voice,” “singing,” or “music.”

The workshop is open to anyone interested in exploring new ways of engaging with the relationship between sound, technology, and identity, through practices that expand the possibilities of the voice as an expression beyond physical limits.
