This weekend, "Terra Cobre" arrives in Porto for the Serralves em Festa celebrations. The performance combines the "perfect percussions" of João Pais Filipe and "the body at the service of the will" of Marco da Silva Ferreira: "[a] possession and exorcism, the antithesis between the ground floor and the ancestral", an "experience between a village and the world" (Margarida Azevedo).
The new creation was born in Alcálçovas, during a research residency into the region's traditional rattle art, following an invitation from Futurama to João Pais Filipe.
Not to be missed, with free admission, on 1 June at 8pm and on 2 June at 12:30pm. Find out more at https://www.serralvesemfesta.com/.
