Castro Verde was the last stop of the Futurama Festival, on the 21st and 22nd of October. On these last few days, there was space for magnetic performances, emotional concerts, the premiere in Portugal of a documentary and, of course, a closing party.
We started the first day with the performance/installation of the collective Os Espacialistas with students from the Escola Secundária de Castro Verde, followed by a performance by Ambassadors Futurama with local musician Tomás Caço. In the evening, we made the premiere in Portugal of the documentary “As Sementes de Vandana Shiva”, about the notable Indian eco-activist Vandana Shiva, and ended with the recital/performance “Pasolini sou eu”, by John Romão with Ana Bustroff, Pedro Lacerda, Solange Freitas and Guilherme Moura. The second day began with the strength and vigor of the Alentejo cante, in the presentation of Cantexto, then went through one of the most emotional moments of the Festival, at the premiere of the concert by Angélica Salvi with the group Tocadores de Viola Campaniça de Castro Verde, and ended in party, as a celebration, with DJ ZenGxrl.
Thank you to those who were with us in Castro Verde and during the last four weeks. The Futurama Festival 2022 comes to an end, but our schedule doesn't stop here. We have a lot prepared, stay tuned!
