CANTEXTO | MÉRTOLA

With the aim of preserving, promoting, and enhancing the transmission of intangible cultural heritage, as well as revitalizing it through an experimental and contemporary perspective, Futurama launched the Cantexto project, which proposes unprecedented collaborations between Alentejo folk singing groups, contemporary writers, and visual artists, in a true convergence of disciplines (literature, music, visual arts), bridging tradition and modernity. This year’s new creations will be presented, along with a special performance by Alentejo folk singing groups from the municipality of Mértola.
