Art installation "Frutificação"

“Frutificação” is the process of bearing fruit—something that is fruitful, useful, and yields positive results—just as this residency did, developed with the participation of students from the ALSUD Senior University—Algodôr campus.

This “FRUTIFICAÇÃO” is a collective art installation, made from discarded textiles, that provides structure, shade, and color to the community garden (created through the Germinar project). It is a structure based on the themes of “vegetable garden,” “garden,” and “backyard” as fertile spaces, places of socializing and vitality. It also alludes to the mastro festivals, which are very popular in this village, and can be seen as a fortification that marks this space as a cared-for, living, and protected area.
