The collaborative dimension of Futurama is expressed in many ways, namely through the invitation to curators who are responsible for programming the annual Artist Residencies. Coming from diverse geographies and cultural institutions, national and international, each curator invites artists from the fields of performing arts, music and sound art, visual arts or architecture to investigate and create new artistic projects, inspired by symbolic capital, cultural and human life of Baixo Alentejo.

On the last day of each artistic residency, we open the doors to the public to present the artistic investigation and dialogue with the artists about the ideas and materials they have been exploring in the region. They are an unprecedented opportunity to discover fresh projects, some still in process, others already completed, which are created from the local territory and which pay homage to them.
